The Indexing Polishing Filter (IPF) Solids Unit is designed for dewatering and polishing processes, employing cost-effective fabric media to filter out solids. The filter fabric comes in 5, 20, and 50 micron sizes and is automatically indexed onto a recessed conveyor belt made of high-tensile, non-corrosive material. As water and solid particles pass through the filter fabric, solids are retained. A float, activated as the water level rises, drives a motor to index the spent paper and replace it with new paper. The IPF can be utilized for pre-treatment, post-treatment, or as a standalone treatment system.
